A POOLE mum killed following a caravan crash at the weekend has been named.

Rosemary May Evans, 48, of Kitchener Crescent, suffered devastating injuries when the Land Rover Discovery she was travelling in overturned on the A35 between Dorchester and Bridport on Saturday afternoon.

The vehicle was towing a caravan.

Mrs Evans died of a traumatic brain injury in hospital on Tuesday morning at Southampton General Hospital. Her 52-year-old husband and their 11-year-old son were also in the vehicle. The boy escaped without injury, while Mr Evans received slight injuries.

The coroner’s officer for Dorset said an inquest was opened at 10.50am this morning and has been adjourned until January next year.

Friends of Mrs Evans on Facebook have been paying tribute by changing their profile pictures to roses.

Anyone with information on the collision is asked to call PC Gareth Bacon of Weymouth police on 101, quoting incident number 24:277.
