Police appeal as £800 stolen as man slept in former Bournemouth hotel
A MAN staying in a former Bournemouth hotel had £800 stolen while he was having an afternoon sleep.
The 27-year-old, who is from Bournemouth, was in his room at the ex-Lynton Hotel in West Hill Road when someone broke in and stole his black wallet and a blue bag.
A Dorset Police spokesman said “On the afternoon of Tuesday, August 13 an unknown person broke into a hotel room at the Lynton Hotel, West Hill Road while the occupant was sleeping.
“A black wallet containing £250 and a blue bag containing £550 were both stolen.”
The spokesman said “an unknown male” was reported as responsible for the theft.
Any witnesses or anyone with information is urged to call Dorset Police on 101, quoting the crime reference number C33425.
