SUNNY conditions and busy beaches kept Portland coastguards busy on Saturday, dealing with a spate of minor incidents.
Mudeford inshore lifeboat was launched on Saturday morning after the vessel Medusa ran aground at the entrance to Christchurch Harbour.
The 29ft motor cruiser Three Treasures, with eight people on board, called for help after losing power at the entrance to Poole Harbour.
Two divers, separated from their boat Nova, were picked up in the sea by another vessel called Explorer.
On arrival back in Lulworth Cove they were met by Lulworth Coastguard officers, who gave safety advice.
At 4.11 pm Portland coastguards received a 999 call reporting two kayakers stuck in mud in Brands Bay, Poole Harbour. They were rescued by the Poole coastguard rescue team.
Two exhausted walkers and their dog, cut off by the tide at Worbarrow Tout, Kimmeridge, were airlifted to the cliff-top.
The 16ft speedboat Brown, with four people onboard, reported engine failure 1.5 miles off Christchurch Harbour entrance. Mudeford RNLI inshore lifeboat towed the vessel into Mudeford Quay.
