Borough councillors were due tonight to discuss whether to ban the use of eggs from caged hens in the authority’s catering outlets.
The move, which began with a suggestion from a member of the public, could be written into contracts with suppliers.
It is on the agenda for Bournemouth Borough Council’s audit and community scrutiny panel which meets at 6pm at the Town Hall.
