Volunteers with their bags of litter
HARDY Highcliffe residents turned out in force to clear the beach of litter recently.
Along with staff from Crazywater in Lymington Road, a total of 73 volunteers took part in the beach clean at Highcliffe Beach as part of the Surfers Against Sewage’s Big Spring Clean weekend.
The group braved the cold to collect 32 bin bags of rubbish.
Volunteers included people from Christchurch Lifesaving Club and Highcliffe St Mark’s Primary School.
Christchurch Borough Council provided the litter picking equipment.
