MOTORBIKE riders will be polishing up their machines ready for the start of 26 weeks of wheeled wonder on Poole Quay.

Coles Miller Dream Machines returns tonight and kicks off Poole’s Wave 105 Summertime in the South programme of events, which runs until November.

The popular motorbike meet takes place every Tuesday evening until September 24 and is a must for everyone from novices and enthusiasts to world class superbikers.

During the event Poole Quay is closed off to all traffic except motorbikes, with numbers at the event regularly exceeding 1,000 mean machines.

Adrian Cormack from Coles Miller Solicitors said: “Coles Miller Dream Machines is a real family affair with plenty for enthusiasts and novices to enjoy. The bikes on display range from painstakingly restored classics to the very latest models.

“All are their owners’ pride and joy and it is fantastic that bikers from across the country come down to show them off and create such a superb spectacle. Having sponsored it for six years, we are as passionate about the event as ever and proud to be part of Poole’s unique programme of special events.”

The weekly Bike of the Night competition sees a guest judge pick out their personal favourite each week. The winner receives a race kit courtesy of Muc-off and all weekly winners are entered in the Bike of the Year final on September 24.

It is a fully marshalled event with a £1 entry fee for bikes and enthusiasts can buy a season armband for £8 at the Welcome Centre on the quay.
