NEW plots at Longham Allotment Gardens have been allocated - three months after a dozen tenants were told they would lose their land.
Angry plot-holders were told they would not be able to keep their sites at a meeting in December last year after Ferndown Town Council bought the Gardens.
Now 24 new plots have been assigned to new gardeners, reducing a waiting list of more than 100 people.
Peter Hendra and councillors Jean Read and Steve Lugg announced the new allocations at a town council meeting earlier this month.
The first 16 people on the waiting list were given the plots of their choice.
The largest plots were allocated by ballot.
