HEATHER Barnett’s killer Danilo Restivo, right, has landed in Italy to attend his appeal.
Restivo, who is serving a life sentence for the murder of the Bournemouth mum of two in 2002, has been temporarily released to the Italian authorities for the trial in Salerno.
He was convicted in his absence in 2011 of killing 16-year-old schoolgirl Elisa Claps, who disappeared from Potenza in Italy in September 1993.
Her mummified remains were discovered in the loft of a church back in March 2010.
Restivo’s appeal against conviction and sentence begins on Wednesday and will be heard in public.
