THE M61 northbound was closed during rush-hour this morning after a vehicle fire.
Motorists faced delays after the incident, between junction six for Horwich and junction eight for Chorley, at 9am.
Firefighters from Chorley tackled the blaze, which is thought to have been caused by an electrical fault.
They were at the scene for 20 minutes.
