MIDLANDS Air Ambulance Charity (MAAC) has appointed Stourbridge-based law firm, Wall James Chappell, as its principal legal adviser.

MAAC is the only charity responsible for funding and operating three air ambulances serving the communities of Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Worcestershire and the West Midlands.

This constitutes the largest air ambulance-operating region in the UK and Wall James Chappell will advise the charity on matters relating to charity and company law, commercial contracts, property and estates.

Philip Chapman, head of charities at Wall James Chappell, said: “We are delighted to have been appointed by MAAC as their principal legal adviser – the charity continues to affect people’s lives across the Midlands area.

“We are proud to have had the opportunity of working with the charity on a number of legal matters over the years. Our knowledge and expertise in the charities sector will undoubtedly be of benefit to them.

“ We look forward to supporting them with their long-term strategic objectives.”

Hanna Sebright, CEO of MAAC, said: “It was important to us to appoint with a trusted local firm that understands what is important to us as a charity and the communities that we serve.”
