Cannabis plants seized in drugs raid at property on Ringwood Road in West Moors

POLICE officers carried out a drugs bust at a property in West Moors and discovered a small cannabis farm in the loft.

Cannabis plants and several seedlings were seized from the Ringwood Road property, along with lighting and power equipment.

The warrant was executed shortly after 8am on Thursday. A specialist police dog was used to help with the search, which revealed a purpose-built cannabis farm in the loft.

Inspector Wayne Nock said “The execution of this warrant sends a strong message that we will take action against drugs offences and prevent, disrupt and detect such criminal behaviour.

“Our Safer Neighbourhood officers will continue to work closely with patrol officers to keep West Moors safe and proactively deal with information relating to drugs offences.”

Anyone with concerns or suspicions about the misuse of drugs should call Dorset Police on 101.

A 28-year-old man from West Moors was arrested. Police enquiries are continuing.

Why would you need a specialist police dog?

They don't call it 'Skunk' for nothing!

The plants absolutely stink.

Personally I think these small busts are rather pointless.
The 'Sending Out A Message' is the same old rubbish you'll hear from the Police.
The War On Drugs is a con & a FAILURE. When will we have a serious open debate on drugs in this Country?
Billions spent yet consumption & selling don't appear to drop.Waste of time & money & the Phoney War is obviously a failure.

A plant which has been around for thousands of years, has thousands of uses and benefits but causes mental health problems in "some" people.

It's a drawback but then have you looked at the amount of side effects you can get from a pill?

I'm all for legalising/decrimina
lising.

If people were allowed to grow their own plants then we wouldn't have half the amount of dealers on the streets.

The Police could concentrate on the smuggling of drugs ie Cocaine, Heroin and any other rubbish that turns up.

Let people grow 10 plants for personal use and you'll cut crime as well as letting people do what they've always wanted to do. Growers would swop their wares, no money would change hands therefore no law would be broken.

The country is also one big Alcoholic and Gambling induced mess but thats another story.
