Employers will be at Daily Echo jobsfair... will you?
4:00pm Monday 4th March 2013 in News By Steven Smith
HELPING YOU: Daily Echo Classified Manager Angela Boyer and Sales Advisor Robbie Sneddon on the Daily Echo stand.
THOSE looking for a job or change of career will get the chance to speak to scores of employers under one roof next week.
The latest Daily Echo Jobsfair will be held in Bournemouth next Thursday, March 7.
The event has proved a big success in the past for both companies and jobseekers alike and returns for the first time in 2013 to the Premier Inn at Westover Road between 10.30am and 6.30pm.
There will be the chance to find a new job, do some training and tap into some advice.
Best Training will be running workshops on how to write a CV and how to prepare for an interview, while a range of employers will be looking to fill job vacancies. Workshops are free – those wishing to attend can email jayne.edmunds @bournemouthecho.co.uk.
The Jobsfair is being sponsored once again by Bournemouth-based health insurer Health-on-Line.
The Daily Echo Jobsfair takes place during National Careers Week, from March 4 - 8.
This annual campaign aims to promote careers guidance and boost opportunities across the UK, within school and colleges.
Angela Boyer, Classified Manager at the Daily Echo, said: “The Daily Echo Jobsfair is a great opportunity for local job seekers to meet recruiters face to face and make that all important first impression.
“A range of local employers, recruitment agencies and training providers are looking forward to welcoming everyone when the fair opens at 10.30am on Thursday.
“Not only is the fair great for those out of work, it’s also a chance for those considering changing career paths to talk this through in a positive environment with companies who currently have vacancies.
“The event attracts on average 1,500 visitors – I would therefore recommend that job hunters attend as early as possible on the day to ensure they have time to visit all the stands and perhaps attend some of the training workshops.”

If you're unemployed it's a cheap way to get you out of the house, but it would be nice to see reputable employers such as BT, Hamworthy Combustion, Network Rail, Sunseeker etc offering actual careers rather than just providing a load of smarmy HR types with a free buffet lunch.
You can keep your bowl of sweets thanks Miss 'Home Instead Senior Care' sales girl.

'Employers' being the usual selection of care homes and call centres who normally have to resort to advertising on the backs of buses to get people to work for them. Perhaps someone should have separated all the names to show they are different companies, but most doing the same thing looking after old people.
