Serial burglar jailed for 876 days

JAILED: Patrick Kiely JAILED: Patrick Kiely

A SERIAL burglar who forced his way into a home in the Charminster area of Bournemouth while the occupants were out has been jailed for 876 days.

Patrick Kiely helped himself to laptops, camcorders and games consoles worth more than £2,000, using a stolen bank card to withdraw funds for his own benefit.

After the 22-year-old faced fraud and burglary charges at Bournemouth Crown Court, DC Christopher Raspini said: “This was an extremely unpleasant crime; he made an untidy search of the entire house showing complete disregard for his victims’ property.

“Not only did he steal expensive electrical items, he also took a bank card and documents, using the card to withdraw money from cashpoints.”

DC Raspini added: “Kiely is a prolific burglar and the sentence reflects how seriously the courts view such offences.”

876...! Echo, is that you trying to make out the sentence is harsher that it actually is? Or is that the way in which the court pronounced it?

A pad thief is the lowest of the low after nonces. If he gets caught stealing in jail he will get a severe beating. Different set of morales in jail.

...i know this dirty thieving scum bag.....Karma has bit you on the backside Paddy !! ha ha..................
.. the only downside is that his missus is pregnant so there will be another kid for tax payers to support... p.s. if you cut off his hands, he'd still try and steal the knife you used to chop them off with !!

Hopefully there will be a follow-up with a conviction of the buyers of all the constant stream of stolen goods. I suppose the Cash For Anything shops don't query a chap selling laptops, etc, every few days?

Hopefully he'll pick the wrong house when he gets out. If I found a burglar in my house I would do my best to kill them. Scared for my life and all that.
