School youngsters turn donation from firm into new gardening area
12:30pm Saturday 23rd February 2013 in News
YOUNGSTERS at Sopley Primary School have turned a donation from a local company into a planting and growing area.
The donation from JP Morgan was put towards the new gardening section in the playground, part of a project the school is working on.
“Children love being outside and the more we can develop practical opportunities for them, the better children learn,” said head teacher Martin Sheret.
“We are very grateful to JP Morgan for their support.
“We are looking to replace a log cabin that is restricting our development by having it removed, then have a concrete base put in place so it can be relocated elsewhere,” added Mr Sheret. “We also require a couple of sheds to store toys.”
Caroline Donnell, a member of the JP Morgan community relations committee said: “We were pleased to be able to help in this way and wish the school the best of luck in their project.”
