Staples raises funds for Starlight children’s charity

STAPLES’ Bournemouth store has announced its new partnership with children’s charity Starlight to raise funds for seriously and terminally-ill children.

The charity helps more than 500,000 children every year, granting wishes and providing entertainment for children in hospitals and hospices.

With employees set to get involved with the fundraising through the activities, the partnership has high hopes to raise a significant amount of funding in 2013.

Both Staples and Starlight said they were committed to directing funds raised towards local hospitals and children.

Darren Luff, general manager of the Bournemouth store, said: “I’m sure our customers will be right behind us and help to raise much-needed funds for this very worthy cause.”

Neil Swan, chief executive of Starlight Chilren’s Foundation, said: “We are extremely grateful for Staples’ involvement and look forward to working with them to develop an inspirational fundraising programme.”
