Fallen tree blocks road as police wait three hours for council tree surgeon

Tree surgeons are still at work trying to remove a fallen tree blocking Long Lane at Broom Hill.

The large fallen tree was reported at 9.40am and traffic police attended to redirect traffic.

Dorset County Council was informed, but it was more than two hours before tree surgeons arrived on site to clear the way.

The tree fell across the road at the junction with Colehill Lane near the Barley Mow Inn. Updates to follow.

Signage has been placed outside the Barley Mow pub.
