A338 re-opened after overturned car recovered

POLICE closed a lane of the A338 this morning to recover a Ford Fiesta following a single-vehicle collision on Friday night.

Officers closed a section of the northbound carriageway just past Blackwater junction at Hurn around 11.30am to deal with the overturned vehicle which was off the road.

The incident took place around 10.20pm on Friday.

No-one was injured.

And you obviously know they didn't fall ill at the wheel or had a fox run out in front of them or had a vehicle malfunction???

Why did it take over 12 hours to recover the car? It should have been cleared away overnight not left until mid morning. But then I suppose it seems the done thing to create as much inconvenience to motorists as possible!
