Apparently the police said "it's Tesco or your field, take your pick.", and the horses where back in their field before you could say "Shergar.".

Maybe not but:

'Police were called at 3.22pm on Friday, February 1, and said the horses were back in their field as of 3.47pm.'

So we've at least got minute by minute reporting..
