What business do the fire service have with making a statement about the fire on Sun Seeker land. I'd be pretty miffed if I owned sun seekers, sounds like further self promotion, surely the wages spent on their constant 'stating the obvious' would be better spent on front line resources?

I remember the phrase 'We won't make a drama out of a crisis' used some years by an insurance company. I think The Echo should adopt the phrase:

'WE will create a drama out of ANYTHING'

Theatrical reporting central! Got to laugh really..

Just glad all the staff are ok, and no1 will be missing a loved one tonight. The lightning reactions of certain members of staff are nothing more than heroic and quite humbling, when so much effort is put into building such a SuperYacht (2 Years!) no person involved wants to see an incident like today. On another note after seeing some of the posts i find it sickening that the echo didn't do more in the way of informing the public their loved one's were ok sooner, as we were unable to get to our phones some people had been contacted several times by their partners to see if they were ok, but couldnt reach them! I consider that more public information than specualtive photography comments on what 'maybe happening' Once again WELL DONE to the Fire Marshals & WELL DONE Sunseeker. Triple dip recession plus a fire and its business as usual, Love That Company!!!!!

Why is this so important?! It's a small fire that involved 10 firemen! Happens every day but there has to be live pointless updates and stupid tweets! Get a life!! Imagine if something really big happened! The echo would fold!
