Power cut in Parkstone linked to loss of cable services

AN ELECTRICAL fault which cut the power to homes in Parkstone may explain the loss of service for some Virgin Media customers.

Around 20 customers in Upper Parkstone were without electricity overnight on Tuesday and a number of Virgin customers reported having no TV, phone or broadband service that night.

Scottish and Southern Energy Power Distribution said there had been a fault in the underground low-voltage network that night which led to around 20 of its customers being without power in the Phyldon Road area from around 9.30pm to 5am.

It apologised to customers and thanked them for its patience.

Virgin said any loss of service to its customers in Parkstone that night was related to roads being dug up for electrical work.

I had a glitch and phoned Virgin Media once my phone was on who immediately gave me £5 off my next bill for not providing the services I pay for.
