Network Rail: Hamworthy port line not set to close

Rumours circulating on the internet that the Poole Port railway line is to be closed have been quashed by Network Rail.
Poole Harbour Commissioners have always been keen to maintain the line and a spokesman for Network Rail said: “Nobody here is aware of any plans to close the Hamworthy port line.”
