Can you help trace stolen Land Rover? Can you help trace stolen Land Rover?

POLICE are appealing for information after a Land Rover Defender was stolen from New Milton.

The distinctive vehicle was taken between 11pm on Monday and 8am on Tuesday from the driveway of a home on Bashley Road, New Milton.

The thief took the keys from a padlocked shed and forced the door of the shed open to obtain the keys.

Nothing else was taken.

The 12-seater Defender has a roof rack and the passenger front wing has traces of a darker livery showing through the white paint.

The registration number begins with M.

PC Lynsey Tallon said: “Bashley Road is a reasonably busy road. I need to hear from anyone who saw someone acting suspiciously or who saw a large white Land Rover Defender in the area overnight Monday to Tuesday, January 21 to 22.”

Anyone with information should contact PC Tallon at Lymington on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Why is this so special considering cars get stolen all the time? Just asking...

Guessing that as it's quite a distinctive vehicle there's more chance someone will have seen / recalled something - and could lead to arresting someone who has stolen more than just this one vehicle...

I'm glad the Echo have set up a feature on stolen cars at last!
Everyone who's had a car stolen can post here for it's safe return apparently!

Hummm, keeping the keys in a shed - guessing insurance will not be too pleased, or maybe if they don't have to payout!
