SECONDARY School league tables will be published tomorrow ranking schools according to their GCSE results.
The Daily Echo and its website will have full lists of schools in Bournemouth, Poole and Dorset, along with Hampshire schools in our circulation area.
The Department for Education will publish the percentage of students at each school reaching the benchmark standard of at least five GCSEs at grade A*-C including English and maths. Last year Poole’s St Aldhelm’s Academy hit the headlines when it clocked up the worst GCSE results in the country with just three per cent of its students making the grade.
Carter Community School in Poole was 10th worst at 21 per cent but both are expected to show drastic improvements this year.
At the other end of the scale Bournemouth School for Girls was ranked in the top 50 state schools in the country with Bournemouth School, Poole Grammar and Parkstone Grammar all in the top 200.
Look out for tomorrow’s paper and website, bournemouthecho.co.uk to see how your local school got on.
