DORSET has seen snow once again this afternoon - but it's not set to cause the same disruption as last Friday.

There were reports of snow in Poole, Bournemouth, Ferndown, Corfe Mullen and St Leonards with snow reported to be settling in Lytchett Matravers.

Temperatures are not expected to get above 4 degrees for the next few days before rising to 8 degrees on Saturday.

Light snow is forecast on Thursday for Ringwood, Verwood and Blandford Forum.

A Met Office yellow 'be prepared' warning is valid until 9am on Wednesday and on Thursday from 3am until 9am.

The Met Office warning reads: "As temperatures fall on Tuesday evening and night, icy stretches will form on many untreated surfaces especially where lying snow freezes.

"There may also be a few light snow flurries in places though any new accumulations will be slight. Freezing fog patches may also add to travel difficulties. The public are advised to take extra care.
