CHERRIES player Steve Cook is among four footballers who appeared at the Old Bailey yesterday accused of sexual assault and voyeurism at a Brighton hotel.

The offences are alleged to have taken place at the Jury’s Inn hotel in Brighton in July 2011.

Brighton and Hove Albion players Anton Rodgers, 19, Lewis Dunk, 21, and George Barker, 21, and former team-mate Steve Cook, 21, who now plays for Bournemouth, deny the charges.

The players are alleged to have assaulted a 19-year-old woman at the hotel.

Rodgers and Barker, both of Highview Avenue North, Brighton, Dunk, of Woodbourne Avenue, Brighton, and Cook, of Perth Road, St Leonards-on-Sea, East Sussex, are on bail.

A jury was sworn in and will return today when the case will be opened.
