DEVELOPMENT Education Dorset provides staff training, children’s workshops, resources, exhibitions, advice and support to schools, early years settings and community groups on aspects of global citizenship.

Topics of the workshops include Fairtrade, multicultural Britain, Millennium Development Goals, philosophy for children, recycling and the environment.

Why the community needs this charity The charity exposes teachers, early years practitioners, pupils, children, and parents, to global learning.

Global Education can provide all children and young people with an understanding of, and respect for, cultural diversity.

It also affords them an awareness of the challenges of creating a sustainable future, the ability to understand and feel confident of their place within the interconnected world, and of how their everyday actions affect others.
