Woman charged with assault on police officer in Boscombe
A WOMAN has appeared in court charged in connection with the assault on a police officer in Boscombe yesterday.
33-year-old Michelle Meech of Carnarvon Road, Boscombe, has been charged with assaulting PC Adam Carr.
The police officer was left injured with head wounds after an incident outside the Nationwide building society in Christchurch Road.
The injured officer was taken to Poole Hospital and was treated overnight before being released home this morning.
A 42-year-old man also arrested yesterday remains in police custody.
Any witnesses to the incident which happened at around 2pm should call 101 quoting incident number 92/17.
