A BOURNEMOUTH man was stabbed to death in his flat following a long-running feud with a neighbour, a court was told yesterday.

Angelo Rodrigues, 45, was attacked by “angry” neighbour Tracy Mansell and her partner James Kinsley following a row about ongoing noise at the block of flats in Coleman Road, West Howe, on July 27 last year, a trial at Winchester Crown Court was told.

Opening the prosecution case, Graham Reeds QC told the jury that neither were “good neighbours”. He said: “Both were known to be argumentative. Both could disturb others with their music and by shouting or by generally being loud.

“One neighbour thought that Tracy Mansell and Angelo Rodrigues had been feuding with each other for years.”

Mr Reeds said the court would hear from witnesses who recall seeing Mansell armed with a knife banging and kicking on Mr Rodrigues’s door before “jabbing and launching” towards him.

He added: “Mansell and Kinsley then went into Angelo Rodrigues’s flat where he was beaten and stabbed repeatedly until he collapsed and died from the effect of losing so much blood.”

Mr Rodrigues’s lifeless body was found slumped in the lounge and he had 35 separate injuries, including 25 caused by a sharp weapon, the court heard.

Mr Reeds QC said tests on a scissor blade found outside the flats matched Mr Rodrigues’s DNA and the other blade was found in Mansell’s kitchen.

He said Kinsley’s jeans were found in Mansell’s kitchen sink and were heavily stained with Mr Rodrigues’s blood.

One training shoe found in Mansell’s flat matched another training shoe found in Mr Rodrigues’s home and both were stained with his blood, the court heard.

The jury were told that Mansell now accepted she stabbed Mr Rodrigues but that her responsibility was diminished due to her psychiatric state.

Mansell, 56, of Coleman Road, West Howe, and James Kinsley, 40, of Hinton Road, Bournemouth, deny murder.

The case continues.
