PIER PROPOSAL: Laura and Russell
A YOUNG woman was thrilled with a rather special plaque on Swanage Pier – because it featured a wedding proposal from her boyfriend.
Laura Corcoran was bowled over by businessman Russell Tarry’s proposal after he purchased the special plaque asking for her hand in marriage.
Russell, aged 28, from Northampton, has been visiting the Purbeck resort for many years with his family, so it was an apt setting for popping the big question.
Laura, aged 26, who was delighted to accept his proposal, said: “Swanage Pier has always been a very special setting as Russell shared many happy memories with his family as a child there.”
