DORSET Police have warned West Cliff residents to be vigilant after a spate of car crimes in the area.
West Cliff Neighbourhood Watch Area Co-ordinator Chris Colledge has urged residents to report suspicious activity to the police immediately, after three raids on cars in just two days.
Overnight on Monday, January 7, a green Renault Megane had its rear window smashed on West Hill Road at the sea front end.
Nothing was taken, but a tool bag was moved on to the pavement.
In the early hours of Tuesday, January 8, a silver Volvo parked in the Highcliff Marriott in St Michael’s Road had its front passenger side window smashed.
A briefcase was stolen from inside.
Police believe these two crimes may be linked.
At some time between 9am on Monday, January 7, and 9am Wednesday, January 9, a green MG was stolen from the car park of Lloyds TSB in Poole Road, Westbourne.
If you have any information regarding the whereabouts of the car, call Dorset Police on 101 quoting crime reference C:1131.
