Hardly Breaking News,18 hours after the event took place.
More like Breaking Records for swift reporting by the Echo!

I drove past as the boys in blue were there. In attendance was one of the brand new seriously smart Volvo V70 ARV's - very nice indeed.

Just a question. 'Threatened staff...', what with? Gun, knife, bludgeon? Would it be illegal to have a couple of baseball bats behind the checkouts, or a mace spray?

Its just that a lot there dress just like the robber,so its easier for him to mix with the crowd.

A lot of people dress the same due to age related fashion, regardless of where they live!!!!! Here's hoping the staff involved are ok and get the support they may need

Thank goodness we live where we do, this sort of crime is a shock to us, big news! There are many parts of our country where this happens so much more regularly, and in the same shops over and over again! This co op was subject to this sort of crime once before and that was over 20years ago, that shows how little crime there really is around here. Thinking of the very friendly staff there, it must be awful for them!

...'Hooded Tops' are worn by all sorts of people & all sorts of ages. The scarf over the nose & mouth would strike me as more suspicious than wearing a hooded top?

I do laugh though, in the way Cameron was telling everyone to 'Hug a Hoody' some years back!..
