Poole event to help you stick to your New Year's resolutions
11:00am Sunday 6th January 2013 in News
NEED help sticking to a new year’s resolution? Then Poole Housing Partnership could lend a hand.
A new event is being held by PHP in conjunction with Borough of Poole – New Year, New You – at the Dolphin Shopping Centre on Wednesday January 9 between 9am and 5pm.
Experts will be on hand throughout the day offering visitors free information and advice on a range of popular New Year’s resolutions from losing weight and quitting smoking to getting active and eating healthy food.
Representatives of the council’s culture and community learning department, libraries, NHS and PHP’s Your Money and Volunteer Support Service teams will be present along with a Zumba dance troupe performing outside Boots at 10am, cooking demonstrations and giveaways.
“New Year, New You is the perfect opportunity for residents to find out about local services on their doorstep, and take steps to making a real difference to their lives,” said Marie Marsh from PHP, who organised the event.
