DETECTIVES hunting a gunman responsible for two robberies in the New Forest have made a fourth arrest.
Officers from Hampshire’s Major Investigation Team arrested a 36-year-old man from Totton.
He is being questioned over two serious incidents in the Lymington and Brockenhurst areas.
The first incident happened on December 5 when a man was robbed at Brockenhurst train station.
And in the second robbery a husband and wife were held hostage in their own home in Rookes Lane, Lymington, on December 14.
The gunman then drove the 64-year-old woman around Lymington in their car.
Two people previously arrested as part of the investigation have been released on police bail. A third man has been released without charge.
Anyone with information about either incident is asked to call 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously quoting Operation Prenton.
