Police in Bournemouth are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after a man was assaulted in Meyrick Park.
The incident occurred between 6pm and 7pm last night in Branksome Hill Road and left a 46-year-old Bournemouth man badly injured.
Detective Inspector Steve O’Donoghue, of Bournemouth and Poole CID, said: “This is an extremely nasty attack and the victim has been left with very serious injuries.
“I am appealing for witnesses to assist with the investigation.
“This crime may have been committed by one or more offenders but unfortunately the victim is unable to provide further details.
“Witness and anyone with information are asked to contact police as soon as possible in the strictest confidence.”
No one has been arrested.

Perhaps if the Echo used Bournemouth based journalists the writer if this article would know that Branksome Hill Road is not in Meyrick Park !
