A 76-year-old woman was injured as a result of a two vehicle collision in Preston.
Dorset Police are appealing for witnesses after the woman sustained ‘serious leg injuries’ in the crash at Overcombe Corner this morning.
The crash happened outside Joy’s Newsagent at 8.55am.
A Dorset Police spokesman said that the driver of a silver Seat Leon lost control of the vehicle and collided with a Honda Jazz that was parked outside the newsagent.
As a result of the collision a pedestrian, 76-year-old local woman, received serious leg injuries and was taken to hospital.
The driver of the Seat was arrested for driving offences.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash or who saw the Seat driving on King Street, the Esplanade or Preston Beach Road before the incident.
Anyone with information should call Dorset Police on 101.
