A PEDESTRIAN has suffered life-threatening injuries after a collision with a motorbike on Christmas Eve.
The collision happened between Richmond Hill and Cemetery Junction at around 3.30pm, and police say they are appealing for anyone who may have seen the accident to get in touch.
The injured man was taken to Southampton General Hospital, where he is in a serious but stable condition, and the motorcyclist had minor injuries.
The road was closed for some while traffic officers carried out their investigations.
Control room supervisor Chris Dunham said: “Dorset Police are appealing for witnesses to this collision as the area was described as fairly quiet at the time.
“We would also like to thank the public for their patience whilst we investigated the collision.
Any witnesses to the incident are asked to contact police Sergeant Pittman of the Poole Traffic Department.”
To contact police about this matter, call 101 and use reference number 227.
