Christmas message from Dorset Police chief

DORSET Police’s Acting Chief Constable today issues her Christmas message to the residents of Dorset.

In her message, which is behind the final door of the Dorset Police interactive advent calendar, Debbie Simpson has also thanked her staff and officers for their work this year.

Miss Simpson, said: “I would like to wish our communities a happy, healthy and safe Christmas.

“I hope that you have found the Dorset Police Advent Calendar useful.

“Please continue to follow our crime prevention and personal safety advice to help ensure you enjoy a crime free Christmas and New Year.”

Chief Constable Simpson added: “I would also like to thank my staff and officers who are working over the holiday period to help keep Dorset safe, along with staff from our emergency service partners.

“As always, you can contact Dorset Police 24 hours a day, seven days a week, over the festive season by phoning the non-emergency number 101 for all non-urgent enquiries.

“In an emergency, when a crime is in progress or life is in danger, please dial 999.”

I have a Christmas message to you too:
Stop targeting motorists for profit from petty "offences" (like not wearing a seat belt) and catch some real criminals instead ok. Make that your new year resolution.

Oh but R.M., they can't do that, too much brain power required to catch crooks. We are talking about Dorset Police here, not their sophisticated cousins in the Met!

But you have to ask in light of recent events -

Is this message true and is it really from the acting Chief Constable, or the Police Federation or a member of the public pretending to be either or both?

It is now becoming confusing and more seriously, very alarming!
