A BOURNEMOUTH man has been arrested after an alleged road rage incident in Poole.

Officers are appealing for anyone with information to come forward after the incident on Saturday.

It is believed a 31-year-old Swanage man, driving a silver Rover, and a 36-year-old Bournemouth man, driving a blue Vauxhall Zafira, were involved in an argument on Holes Bay Road, near to the station, at 10.20am.

Both cars continued over the nearby flyover and across the George Roundabout. The incident of alleged road rage took place on Level A of the Dolphin Centre multi-storey car park at 10.30am, and the bodywork of the Rover was damaged.

Constable Phil Prentice of Poole Police said: “It’s important that I find out exactly what happened and I’d urge anyone who has any information about this incident to contact me as soon as possible.

“This area will have been very busy with shoppers on a Saturday morning, especially in the lead-up to Christmas, and it may be that someone is able to help me with my investigation.”

A 36-year-old Bournemouth man was arrested and has been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101, quoting crime number 15:191
