Thieves stole two bikes worth £12,000 from a garage in Bournemouth.
One of the bikes is a Cannondale road bike valued at £5000 – a 2011 Supersix Ultegra hi-mod. It is white with black writing, has a 2011 standard specification and is made of carbon fibre.
The second bike is a Cannondale mountain bike valued at £7000 – a 2011 flash carbon team. This is a rare model and one of only 10 in the UK.
It is made of carbon fibre and black, green and white in colour. It is unusual in that it only has one front fork. It also has a faulty front brake.
Police Constable Sarah Hodgson, of Bournemouth police, said: “I am now in the position to release pictures of the two bicycles that were taken.
“I am appealing for anyone who witnessed this incident, and anyone with any information about the person responsible, to contact me as soon as possible.
“I would also like to hear from anyone who has been offered bikes of these descriptions in unusual circumstances or at an unusually low price.”
The incident, at a property along College Road, happened between 11pm on Thursday 22 November 2012 and 6.45am on Friday 23 November 2012.
