MOTORISTS have been warned about treacherous conditions on the roads as Dorset wakes up to another frost.
Ice on the roads has caused accidents and delays during morning rush hour for the second day.
A gritting lorry overturned on the B3351 in Studland spilling its load of salt and grit.
The road has been closed in both directions near the Purbeck Golf Course while it is cleared.
Police have put up a diversion and have warned motorists to avoid the area.
Drivers in the area are also being warned to drive carefully in the icy conditions.
There were delays on Harbour Hill at the Nottington junction due to an earlier accident.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said: “The state of the roads is icy due to a heavy frost overnight and are very treacherous in some areas.
“We urge motorists to allow plenty of time for journeys and to drive very carefully.
“Make sure vehicle windows are cleared before setting off.
“Local authority gritters are gritting primary routes but minor roads and estate roads do not come under that policy.”
There are also delays in both directions on Abbotsbury Road due to a traffic light failure at The Rock pub.
