CHAIR of governors Sharon Eldridge has one son still at the school, and a second who is now in sixth form at Queen Elizabeth’s School. “Allenbourn is a very inclusive school. Both of my sons have really benefited from being here.”

MUM Amanda Howarth has seen all three of her children, go through the school. All three represented the school at various sports. “We never looked anywhere else. The facilities here are just brilliant.”

TWELVE-year-old Bethan Burley, who is in year eight, took up athletics after arriving at Allenbourn and now competes for the county. “I take part in lots of sports, including netball and football. I’ll miss school and my friends when I leave.”

THIRTEEN-year-old Oscar Howard travels from Sturminster Marshall on the bus. His favourite subjects are PE, PSHE and geography. “I really like school. I also really like the extracurricular sports clubs – they’re really good.”

YEAR five head Richard Wright said: “This is a fantastic place to work. Everyone gets on well, both at work and socially, and we all support each other. There’s no divide between teachers and office staff – no one is precious and we work together.”

PRINCIPAL TA Amanda Baker said: “There’s something for everyone here, whether they’re academic, sporty or musical. The enrichment activities are second to none, and there is a huge range of after-school clubs for children to join. It’s a wonderful school.”
