POLICE, ambulance and firefighters were called when a car left the A338 Spur Road and ended up in a ditch early this morning.
Police were called at 5.30am to the scene 300 yards from of the Ashley Heath roundabout, on the northbound carriageway.
The driver of the Toyota Yaris was taken to Poole Hospital with facial and wrist injuries and knee pain. Fire crews attended because of leaking fuel.
Police said there had been some standing water on the road.

I thought that roads were designed to allow water to run off?
Oh sorry, forgot, this is Dorset (:o)

The driver should sue the council/highways agency.

It's not the road, it was the same blocked drain that always flood that bit of road! The driver should sue the council/highways agency.

So why didn't the Police close the road for three hours like they did last week? It was another single car accident where the vehicle ended up off the road and the driver survived. What's changed in a week to Police policy? Or have they finally realised the complete idiocy of unnecessarily closing busy roads at rush hour?

the road is lethal , trying for one a week at the moment by the look of it .thats why they are trying to get us to pay tolls , just repair it and be done with
