Work on the Avon Causeway road from Sopley to Matchams Lane finishes today after 10 days of surface repairs.
The route has been shut from 8am to 4.30pm on weekdays for Dorset County Council to carry out the work over the last two weeks and is finishing on time.

I drove through here last night and the road surface is much improved.
Now, if only the Council would do something about that ridiculous single carriageway section near the bridge itself. I've seen huge traffic queues build up in both directions at peak times there because of it. Can we at least have a set of lights to improve flow at peak times?
