Cyclist seriously injured in collision at Ashley Road, New Milton

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist was seriously injured in a collision with a car.

The crash happened at around 10.20am on Saturday on Ashley Road in New Milton, at its junction with Kings Road.

The male cyclist, in his 40s, suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries and was being treated at Southampton General Hospital.

The female driver of the blue-silver Ford Fiesta was not injured.

Witnesses were urged to call the roads policing unit at Totton quoting Operation Pinto on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
