CHILDREN at Hayeswood First School in Wimborne proved they are the cream of the crop after a visit from MP Annette Brooke, pictured below.
Mrs Brooke had a tour of the school to celebrate World School Milk Day on Friday.
The MP for Mid-Dorset and North Poole said she was proud to take part in the initiative, which aims to educate children about the benefits of drinking milk.
“It’s really great to see children getting their milk and actually enjoying it,” she said.
“I have dreadful memories from my own schooldays of milk in bottles being left in the sun, and it’s nice to see that children have theirs from cartons that are kept nice and cool before they are served now.”
Children at the school had also drawn up posters about the health benefits of milk for Mrs Brooke’s visit.
School milk is free for children in day care or primary education under the age of five, and subsidised for children aged five to 11.
