A man was hospitalised with a broken jaw after what police say was an incident involving a "group of people" in Bournemouth.
Detectives are appealing for witnesses to the alleged assault, which happened on Holdenhurst Road outside the Texaco service station between 1.20am and 1.30am last Thursday.
A 20-year-old Bournemouth man sustained a broken jaw and was taken to Poole Hospital.
Detective Sergeant Paul Auger, of Bournemouth CID, said: “The incident involved a group of people including men and women.
“I need to find out what exactly happened and how the victim sustained his injury.
“I am appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen anything that can assist me in my enquiries to contact police as soon as possible.”
