Man sought following cosmetic thefts at Boots store

HUNDREDS of pounds of cosmetics have been stolen from Swanage’s Boots store, police said.

Officers want to speak to a man and a woman spotted leaving the Station Road shop and getting into a black Ford Mondeo car around 4pm on Monday.

PC Mari Montgomery, of Swanage police, said: “At this time there would have been customers in the store and we are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this crime.

“We would also like to hear from anyone who may have seen the offenders leaving the store and getting into their getaway vehicle which was parked in Shore Road by the blue beach shelter near to the Mowlem Theatre.”

The man is described as white, aged between 21 and 22, six feet three inches, clean shaven with short, black hair. He was wearing a black, hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and blue shoes.

The woman had a dark complexion, aged 18-20, five foot four inches, slim, with dark curly hair.

Police are looking for a man with painted nails, eye glitter, wearing a fake tan, pink lipstick, chanel no5 and Brut aftershave. Police believe this narrows the search down to 50% of Weymouths male population.

Perhaps thetiger and Mr N James would be better reading the first line of the report and at least quote the correct town before posting immature stupidity.

excuse my stupidity, but how on earth did a male manage to steal HUNDREDS of pounds worth of cosmetics? where did he put them? and why did no one think it was a bit suspicious? unless he was dressed as a women (everyone to their own)??

I'm still laughing at the bit "getting into their getaway vehicle which was parked in Shore Road by the blue beach shelter near to the Mowlem Theatre" !

Getaway ? In Swanage ? They're probably still stuck trying to get round the town through the numerous pedestrian crossings.

Perhaps this is something for the police chief candidates to investigate. Such as that Mr. Baggins who Dave Wells is talking about in the other article.

Ah, Sorry, not Baggins.... Underhill, Mr. Underhill!

Is that near the spot where Swanage Police park an empty police vehicle???

What a metaphor!
