The perfect Christmas gift: new photo book captures Dorset at its best
THE latest stunning addition to the Daily Echo’s book collection is flying off the shelves of a Christchurch book store.
Dorset: A Photographic Journey in an Olympic Year, features 176 pages of high quality photographs including the county’s stunning coast, wild heathland, beautiful beaches and picturesque woodland.
Manager of Bookends, Jenny Curtis, said: “We always have really good success with the Echo books and have to do repeat orders to meet demand.
“A lot of people come in and request it specifically and others see it and decide it would make a good Christmas present. There are also people who collect the Echo books.”
The book has chapters for individual towns and areas as well as a special section dedicated to the county’s involvement in the Olympics and Paralympics.
Pictures were taken by the Daily Echo’s award-winning photographers and contributors from across the area.
From sunrise on the River Frome at Wareham to autumn views outside Kingston Lacey, every image shows Dorset at its very best.
The book is available from stockists across the county for just £14.95.
