Six candidates have been nominated for the Borough of Poole by-election for the Branksome East ward and four others are standing for Dorset’s first elected Police and Crime Commissioner.
Both elections take place on November 15 and nominations for candidates closed at noon on Friday.
The list of nominees for the by-election, caused by the resignation of Conservative Stephen Rollo-Smith, are: Diana Mary Butler, UK Independence Party; William Kimmet, British National Party; Hazel Malcolm-Walker, Labour Party; Jenny Paton, Liberal Democrat; Peter Portnoi, Poole People and Jane Thomas, Conservative Party.
Those candidates standing for the Police and Crime Commissioner post are: Andy Canning, Liberal Democrat; Nick King, Conservative Party; Rachel Rogers, Labour Party and Martyn Underhill, Independent.
