A COLOURFUL run is set to return to Poole this summer.

The Dorset Rainbow Run takes place at Upton Country Park on Sunday, July 1.

The event sees runners pelted with powdered paint as they make their way around a 3k course to raise money for Naomi House & Jacksplace children’s hospice.

Participants can take their pick from three different start times; 10.30am, 10.45am or 11am.

A spokesperson said: “This 3k fun run is not about speed or fitness, it's about celebration, having crazy fun with friends, family and colleagues all while raising vital funds for your local hospice for children and young people.”

They added: “Last year was a complete sell-out. 800 fundraisers came to run the rainbow and support Naomi House & Jacksplace.”

Registration is now open, and each participant will receive a medal and a T-shirt.

Entry costs £15 for adults or £10 for children before April 3. From April 4, entry costs £20 for adults and £15 for children.

Children must be accompanied by an adult.
